This site is to assist referees and players in learning and appreciating the laws that govern our beautiful game, as well as to help coordinate the assigning of Referees throughout the Chicago area.
The referees of CARFU RS are dedicated to striving for excellence in rugby refereeing, from our territorial panel referees to our most recent recruits. Our Society is organized for the purpose of contributing to the growth of rugby at all levels of play for all ages, through competition at local, state, national, and international levels, and to improve the position and standards of the game of Rugby Union in the Chicago area, the Midwest Territory, and the United States.
Membership is open to rugby referees within Chicago and the surrounding suburban areas.
Society Officers
The positions of president, vice-president, and treasurer are elected positions. All other positions are appointed by the president of the CARFU Referee Society. Collective, the Society officers comprise the CARFU Referee Society Executive Board. Contact information for the officers can be found the referee contact page.
Any member in good standing of the Society may run for vice-president and treasurer. Only current and former officers may run for president, unless there are no qualified candidates available.
