Here’s an opportunity to take a little vacation and improve your reffing skills!
Day 1 (Thu July 25th) will commence at 11am sharp and will be a full day of referee training, both classroom presentations as well as practical conducted by a crew of both MLR and USA Rugby personnel. Lunch and dinner will be included. This is the big plus this year that is separating NAI7s from all other events. It’s going to be a full day of referee training and education. There will be multiple presentations by some of the greatest minds in the business right now.
Day 2 and Day 3 are the actual event. Referees will be divided into teams of 6. Each responsible for covering 1 of 12 fields. Each team will have a referee coach assigned. The coaches are charged with ensuring the individual growth in each referee in their care for the weekend. The tournament covers from U14 all the way through to U23 men and women elite.
Hotel accommodation is taken care of from Wednesday through Friday and lunch is provided both game days, plus dinner at the local rodeo ā bring your cowboy/cowgirl outfit! Everyone gets a referee jersey plus some memorabilia and you only get to discover what that is when you are there–last year was a challenge coin! We also have a referee jersey swap; a lot of excitement around that, as always.
